Este 27 de enero (KST), se llevó a cabo los 11th “Gaon Chart Music Awards 2022” en el Jamsil Arena, Seúl, Corea del Sur.

“Gaon Chart Music Awards” consiste en la ceremonia donde se realiza la entrega de premios a los artistas del K-pop en base a su rendimiento en la venta de canciones y álbumes físicos y digitales. Asimismo, en el evento de este año se contó con la conducción de Sieun de STAYC, Doyoung de NCT y JaeJae. Puesto que previamente Eunhyuk de Super Junior se retiró debido a su diagnostico por COVID-19.
Cabe destacar que gran parte de la ceremonia fue pregrabada y originalmente la alineación de artistas que se presentarían eran NCT 127, STAYC, Kang Daniel, NCT DREAM, THE BOYZ, Red Velvet, Brave Girls, SHINee, Oh My Girl, Taeyeon de Girls’ Generation, entre otros. No obstante, debido a varias circunstancias externas, algunos artistas no pudieron presentarse, como Brave Girls debido a la mala salud de la integrante Yuna. THE BOYZ no se presentó por el caso positivo de COVID-19 de algunos integrantes al igual que Oh My Girl. De igual manera, Kang Daniel se retiró después de que uno de sus bailarines diera positivo a COVID-19.
